Miami International Airport |
| In 2003, ACS Transport Solutions, Inc. (ACS), formerly Ascom Transport Systems, purchased and installed a total of 33 x Magnetic Autocontrol MIB30 parking barriers at the prestigious Miami International Airport (MIA). MIA opted to use a combination staffed and un-staffed cashier terminal, which allows patrons to pay and exit with and without interaction with a cashier. The un-staffed mode gives patrons the opportunity to pay with a credit card via a patron interface built into the wall of the cashier booth. MIA was able to use this alternative payment solution by integrating the revenue control system with license plate recognition (LPR), which allows cameras to capture license plates in correlation with the dispensing of tickets upon entry and again when the ticket is read at exit to reduce ticket fraud. Both of these unique solutions require an extraordinary degree of hardware accuracy and dependability. - Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport In addition to the above list of airports, Magnetic Autocontrol vehicle traffic barriers are installed in the following US Cities: San José, Louisville, Charlotte, Austin, Jacksonville, Milwaukee, New Orleans, Norfolk, and Oakland. |
